1. Internship Learning Agreement
This document outlines the learning structure, expectations, and evaluation framework for interns participating in the CNFDNT Internship Program™.
The internship is designed as a supervised experiential learning program combining real-world execution with structured reflection, documentation, and professional development.
Learning Agreement Summary
By participating in this internship, the intern agrees to:
- Actively engage in assigned responsibilities aligned with program tracks
- Complete required hours and deliverables
- Participate in weekly check-ins and feedback cycles
- Document learning, systems, and outcomes
- Uphold professional standards of conduct
CNFDNT agrees to:
- Provide structured supervision and feedback
- Assign meaningful, skill-building work
- Track participation and hours
- Evaluate performance at regular intervals
- Provide verification for academic credit when applicable
2. Learning Structure & Weekly Themes (Flexible)
While specific tasks vary by track and placement, the internship follows a progressive learning arc. The themes below may be adapted based on intern role, credit requirements, or project-based participation.
Weeks 1–2: Orientation & Foundations
- Program onboarding and expectations
- Introduction to operational workflows
- Understanding role responsibilities
- Initial task execution
Weeks 3–4: Execution & Skill Application
- Increased responsibility within assigned track(s)
- Application of tools, systems, and workflows
- Time management and professional communication
- Early feedback and adjustment
Weeks 5–6: Systems Awareness & Process Thinking
- Observing and documenting workflows
- Identifying inefficiencies or improvements
- Supporting repeatable processes
- Midpoint evaluation
Weeks 7–8: Ownership & Accountability
- Managing assigned tasks or projects with reduced oversight
- Cross-functional collaboration (as applicable)
- Producing documented outputs and deliverables
Weeks 9–10: Optimization & Reflection
- Refining execution quality
- Completing systems documentation or SOPs
- Preparing portfolio materials
- Applying feedback at a higher level
Weeks 11–12: Synthesis & Capstone
- Finalizing deliverables
- Preparing case study and presentation
- Reflecting on professional growth
- Final evaluation and completion
Note: For project-based or extended internships, these themes may repeat in cycles rather than follow a fixed weekly schedule.
3. Evaluation & Performance Assessment Framework
The CNFDNT Internship Program™ uses a performance-based evaluation model rather than traditional academic grading.
Evaluation Frequency
- Biweekly evaluations (every 2 weeks), or
- Per-project evaluations for project-based interns
Evaluations are conducted by CNFDNT supervisors, with input from partner supervisors when applicable.
Evaluation Scale (10-Point Scale)
Interns are evaluated on a 1–10 scale across core competency areas.
- 9–10: Exceptional — consistently exceeds expectations
- 7–8: Strong — meets expectations with high reliability
- 5–6: Satisfactory — meets basic expectations with guidance
- 3–4: Needs Improvement — inconsistent or incomplete performance
- 1–2: Unsatisfactory — does not meet program standards
Core Evaluation Categories
Each evaluation considers the following areas:
- Professionalism & Reliability — Attendance, responsiveness, communication
- Execution & Work Quality — Accuracy, timeliness, consistency
- Learning & Adaptability — Ability to apply feedback and improve
- Systems Thinking & Documentation — Process awareness, SOPs, organization
- Initiative & Ownership — Problem-solving, accountability, independence
Scores are documented internally and reflected in midpoint and final evaluations.
Academic Credit Determination
For credit-eligible interns, satisfactory completion is defined as:
- Completion of required hours
- Completion of required deliverables
- Consistent performance at or above a 5–6 average
CNFDNT provides supervisor evaluations, hour verification, and completion confirmation. Final credit decisions remain with the academic institution.
4. Required Academic Deliverables (Summary)
To support learning assessment, interns complete:
- Weekly hour logs and reflections
- Case study or structured documentation
- Portfolio of executed work
- Systems documentation / SOP
- Capstone presentation
- Internship testimonial
5. Agreement Acknowledgment
This document serves as the Internship Learning Agreement for academic purposes and may be submitted to colleges or universities as part of internship approval or credit evaluation.
